On this walking will show you the modern architecture in La Coruña, with its many different buildings from the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th. Your guide will describe how the city grew during that period and point out the connection with Picasso. During the walk we will also cross the gardens, see the Quiosk and Terrace, and continue to Los Cantones, in former times the main street in La Coruña. From plaza Pontevedra we will learn how the city grew into the protected side of the peninsula and how the outer part was left empty due to strong winds and heavy seas. We will also explore the most typical food market in the city, a perfect place to see the richness of the seas surrounding Galicia. We might even have a chance to taste some Galician delicacies! At the end of the tour you can decide to stay around in the best shopping are in town or walk back to the ship.
