Our tour departs from the port to stroll around the old town of Ferrol, in former times a little fishing village that in the 18th century became the most important Navy Base on northern Spain. At the port we will also have the chance to walk on the  “camino”, the old pilgrimage path used mostly by English pilgrims who sailed from Britain to Ferrol and then continue walking towards Santiago de Compostela. That is why this "camino” is called the English Way.

From the gardens of San Francisco, we will have a great view of the Navy Base, the old Shipyards and the Arsenal. We will continue visiting the quarter of Magdalena, which was built anew by military engineers from the Navy as the new elegant town centre. The quarter is full of neoclassical churches, charming squares and beautiful buildings from the time of the Enlightenment, with later additions in Art Nouveau style. We will finish the tour at Galicia Square, very close to the interesting Naval Museum. From this place we will take a shuttle bus back to the port.
