3. Wi-Fi

Yes, we offer Wi-Fi on board. But on expedition cruises to remote destinations, coverage and speed will be very limited. Internet will mainly be available via satellite, except when we’re close to land and 4G coverage via mobile is within range.

In the areas we sail, internet via satellite will not be of the standard and quality you can experience for example on an airplane.

To make WiFi available for all guests, we have to limit activities like video streaming and file sharing.

For those regions where it is hard to connect to the internet, your family and friends back home can still see where the ship is at all times

4. The daily programme

Rather than having a rigid schedule, your Expedition Team tailor your activities for each day according to weather conditions and the area we are sailing in.

You'll therefore receive your daily programme one day at a time, usually the evening before or sometimes the same morning.

As an explorer, you'll embrace this unpredictability. It's all part of being on an expedition, where every day is an adventure.

We recommend you download the Hurtigruten onboard app. It includes everything about your cruise, including your excursion bookings, the daily programme and services on board.

7. Restaurant Aune

The main restaurant Aune serves all guests three meals a day from breakfast to dinner. The set dinners vary with a choice of meat, fish, or plant-based dishes.

Occasionally, in order to meet landing schedules, we will opt for a delicious evening dinner buffet instead of a set dinner.

For our guests, we know that if you have to choose between sitting down for a set dinner or going on a landing in a remote region to see rare wildlife up close, the latter will win every time.

8. Restaurant Fredheim

In Fredheim you are welcome to relax in informal atmosphere or get to know your fellow travellers while enjoying great food together. The menu will vary throughout your journey. In addition to the restaurant's signature dishes, you may also order the dishes served in Aune main dining. Fredheim is included for all our guests. Normally open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
