An expression of passion, sensuality, nostalgia and melancholy, the tango is known as the national dance of Argentina. The form originated in late 18th century “boliches” (brothels) and drew from influences brought by immigrants from Europe and Africa.
The tango became known internationally and enjoyed a period of great popularity in cosmopolitan cities like Paris. Spend an evening enjoying one of the city´s many tango shows to get a sense of the true spirit of Argentina.
