- The baggage is then taken to the cabin
- Cabins are available from 6:00 p.m.
- Check-in closes at 7:30 p.m. in the terminal. After this time, it’s still possible to check in directly on the ship
Check-in – vehicles:
- The time for vehicle boarding in Bergen is 6:00 p.m. Guests traveling by car must arrive no later than 1 hour before departure from Trondheim, Bodø, Tromsø, and Kirkenes. For other ports, you must arrive no later than 30 minutes before departure.
- All guests must check in at the terminal in Bergen or on board at the other ports before the car can be driven on board.
- Guests must take any baggage they need with them for the trip and embark via the terminal in Bergen and via the Hurtigruten pier at the other ports. Baggage must not be transported through the car decks.
- The car’s access pass must be shown to the crew on the car deck (you’ll get your access pass when you check in). You can drive your car on board yourself, or you can ask the crew to help you. If there is limited time before departure, the crew will give you the access pass on the car deck.
- The car deck will be locked, and the vehicle cannot be accessed during the cruise. During high season, there are limited spaces available for cars on some of the short cruises. Unfortunately, camper vans and trailers cannot be transported with Hurtigruten.
Freight of cars and other goods
If you’d like to send a car or other goods with Hurtigruten without traveling yourself, get in touch with Nor Lines by email at [email protected] or with the shipping agents at the relevant ports.
